Christmas 2020

Apparently it’s Christmas soon. The newest member of the household is not playing an active part in preparations, although appears appreciative of the decorations.

The Christmas tree is up, although I’ve not put decorative organic free-range garlands on it this year – I can’t face catching them if they decide to leg it.

The greatest debate is the plan over Christmas. The guidelines are that three households can meet up. This means that anyone with adult children or any couple who has two sets of parents living are going to have to choose who they love most as they can’t see both. Round here it was an easy decision: at least one member of the household is public-facing so we’re not seeing anyone.

In other news, for readers from the mainland, we’re aware that someone already Brexited us, but we’re wondering how to prepare for the final shove on Dec 31st. Headlines include that food and other essential deliveries will be delayed from 1st January and we’re wondering what it is we’ll miss the most and should get now.
